Country Bands, DJs & PerformersCountry bars in XCITY are always a great place to enjoy a night out. Country line dancing is not necessary to enjoy a great country bar. But it definately is something you might want to try out. XCITY country bars feature the best in country music, dancing & a friendly environment. Some country bars in XCITY mix it up a little and play a bit of house party or alternative dance music. DJWePaly4u |

Country |
Eddie Pockey is a native Marylander and has played in the Washington DC Area since 1987. Although he has performed in Key West, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland (and even Nashville by chance), you can most often find him find him at his favorite local establishment on most Friday evenings - Pistone's Italian Inn, in Falls Church, VA (6320 Arlington Blvd).
Eddie plays solo or, in some cases as a duo (often with either Brint Hannay or Jeff King). When he performs with a full band (all five members that play with Eddie) the band name is “Eddie Pockey and the Duffmasters”. You can see the Duffmasters in larger venues such as Madigans, (located in Occoquan, Virginia).
His musical capabilities go beyond classic country and include a multitude of styles such as Tex-Mex, Bluegrass, Cajun Honky Tonk and even some classic rock tunes upon request. | ROCKLEDGE Bluegrass |
Country |
ROCKLEDGE band members are veteran bluegrass musicians, each having had the privilege of performing with talented bluegrass bands in the DC area over the years. We met at bluegrass jams and found that we all have the same sense of bluegrass rhythm, style, harmonies, and creativity. We respect and love traditional bluegrass structure and its development. We became friends, and in 2005, we started getting together for picking sessions in each others' living rooms and basements just for grins. We discovered our distinct sound and we were inspired to "take it on the road." Our first gig was to be an outdoor show at Rockledge Mansion in Occoquan, VA. Even though the gig was rained out, the band name ROCKLEDGE survived. We enjoy playing music together and people tell us it shows. We like our audiences to enjoy our music as much as we do. We're proud and honored to be a part of the rich heritage of bluegrass music in the Washington DC area.
We play for private parties and events and we are happy to custom prepare our show. We perform bluegrass gospel or traditional secular bluegrass or both, according to the event. |
