AAC presents its annual Dia de los Muertos exhibition featuring contemporary artists from the Mid-Atlantic Region who are using the vocabulary, traditions, materials, and symbolism related to Dia de los Muertos celebrations.
Event Details
Along with the opening of this exhibition, we'll also have hot chocolate and pan de muerto, ballet folklorico, music, face painting, and drop-in workshops for all ages.
We're excited to announce that our special musical guest this year will be Los Gallos Negros! During the event Ballet Folklorico Mi Herencia Mexicana will be performing traditional Mexican dances!
4:30-6pm -- Day of the Dead workshops/classes for kids (advance registration required; ages 7-14)
6-8pm -- Exhibition opens to the public
6-8pm -- Free drop-in arts and crafts for the public
6:15pm -- Ballet Folklorico (Dance on the back patio outside)
7pm -- Los Gallos Negros (Music on the front lawn)
