A VA CHERUBS member and soon to be volunteer, Robin Deisher Lilly, has entered a CHERUBS CHRISTMAS FLOAT in her local Christmas parade, to help raise CDH AWARENESS!!
Event Details
We are asking everyone to join them if you want to ride the float or be a walker, they would love to have you. If you are far away and still want to be apart of this special event, we are asking families to send Robin or Lisa your cherubs picture to be displayed on the float and or decorate a special tree ornament for the Christmas tree to honor your cherub.
Here are the details on the parade:
Float will be at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg, VA, on December 10th. All float riders need to be at the park by 4:30pm. Parade starts at 6pm. Please dress warm and if you do have CHERUBS attire, please wear and help raise CDH awareness. If you are planning on attending the parade, please bring several bags of candy to be thrown along the parade route. Children under 6 can walk with parents, but for safety reasons we are asking they do ride on the float. Please make sure to bring juice boxes, water and snacks so we can share with each other while waiting at the park.
We are encouraging all to bring a photo of their cherub to go on the float. We are asking everyone to bring an 8x10 photo of their cherub, so it can be seen on the float. If you are far away and cannot attend this parade, please still send Robin a photo of your cherub to be included on the float. You are welcome to bring a tree ornament for the tree. For more details on the ornaments, please email Robin at deisher3@aol.com.
