Get to know Winkler Botanical Preserve

This private preserve is open to the public and is used as a teaching resource for the city of Alexandria schools. A wonderful amenity situated right in the heart of the Mark Center.

Multiple trails, streams, lake, and waterfall along with a private lodge (The Catherine Lodge) surrounded by woods and native plants make this a great green escape from the surrounding urban community.
The Park can be accessed through the parking lot at the end.
