Welcome to The Virginia Black History, Juneteenth, Father's Day Gala!
This year's gala is scheduled for Sunday, 19 June 2022 from 6pm to 9pm at the beautiful Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. We have a limited number of hotel rooms which we will offer at the discounted rate of $129 dollars per night. All hotel reservations must be made prior to Friday, 27 May 2022 to receive the discounted rate. We are extremely excited to announce next year's keynote speaker is TV Personality, American Lawyer, Author, & Former Arbitrator on the "Divorce Court" Television show, Judge Lynn Toler.
This year's gala will consist of two options:
Dinning in the ballroom with the keynote speaker.
Dining in your hotel room or home (Watching the event on the internet).
The hybrid gala will take place over the course of (2) days from Saturday (afternoon) 18 June 2022 to Sunday (evening) 19 June 2022. You have the option to attend the gala on Sunday only or join us for the entire weekend. We will only have 500 tickets available for the gala.

We are scheduled to have several other distinguished Guests of Honor also in attendance.
Finally, in line with this year's Black History Month theme: Black Health and Wellness, we will recognize the contributions and dedication of the Virginia Black Nurses for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. We plan to present an award to NOVA Community College representing all of Virginia's Medical Community in the DMV area.
The cost to attend the gala is:
Online (Virtual) Ticket: $45 dollars
Regular Tickets: $ 95 dollars per person
VIP Tickets: $160 dollars per person
Student Ticket: $65 dollars per person
Children's Ticket: $60 dollars per child over 5 yrs old
The VaBHMA COVID Safety Protocols
Our goal during the gala is to keep every guest safe during their time celebrating with us. Therefore, we have instituted various COVID Safety Protocols to ensure our gala is free from the Coronavirus. Any individual displaying COVID-like symptoms, answering yes to any of the COVID questions, or not providing proof of vaccination will not be allowed into the ballroom area.
These COVID Safety Protocols will be reviewed prior to the event and just before entering the ballroom area. The answers to your COVID Safety Protocols will be listed on your ticket during the ticket purchase process. Anyone failing to meet the COVID Safety Protocol requirements (after) their ticket is purchased will be asked to eat in their hotel room, given credit towards the 2023 gala, or on a case-by-case basis be given a full refund.
The COVID Protocols are as follows:

All guests are encouraged to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.
All guests will have their temperature taken prior to entering the ballroom.
